In production since 1983, we have spent the past 25 years further developing and fine-tuning these compact, highly reliable, and easily transportable radar systems. To date, we have delivered more than 500 fixed-head radar systems that ensure accurate measurements of the velocity over time and, based on this, insight into the dynamic behavior of all kinds of moving objects.

These robust radar systems operate under all outdoor conditions and contain a unique self-calibrating technology. Innovative hardware solutions mean that our latest fixed-head radar systems are controlled via Ethernet, and processing is performed on standard PCs, equipped with the Weibel WinDopp program.

Scientific’s family of tactical MVRS-700 radars is used to measure the muzzle velocity for artillery systems in order to increase the hit probability.

Integrated into various third-party defense systems, these compact radars have been providing high reliability since Weibel Scientific started producing them in 1992. Weibel’s muzzle velocity radars are mounted on third-party systems, and through self-calibration and active motion compensation technologies, the MVRS-700 radar sets the global standard for measurements of modern artillery with minimum maintenance and logistic requirements.

Today more than 1,500 Weibel Scientific systems have been delivered to 20 countries.
